This is a fantasy book.  It takes off the old fairy tales like Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, and sets them in modern times.  The characters are Phaeries (fairies), a prince, a fairy queen , werewolves plus bats, trolls, and an assortment of insects.

Although this is one of a series, it can be read in isolation.  Definitely a must to have all books in the series in the library.

This book suits a wide range of readers, say 10 to 16 years.  Interesting, easy to read text, not illustrated.
