The book I read was called Baby Bilby, where do you sleep? by Narelle Oliver, published by Lothian.  The book was about where Australian animals sleep and what they do.  It was a very good story.  I liked the peeping holes best.  The pictures were really great too.

Here is a picture I drew of a desert mouse and a lizard in a tunnel.

Baby Bilby, where do you sleep? is based on the Australian outback and the animals that live there. There are characters like the baby bilby, the gecko, the hopping mouse, the dainty treecreeper, the tiny desert planigale, the sleepy gibber dragon and many more.  This is an Australian book which uses rhyme with every second verse.  The plot is about the Australian animals and their lifestyles.  Every page of the book has a cut out circle so that you can view the picture of the animal. The art work uses mainly ochre, red, brown and orange colours to represent the Australian outback.

This book is a fun filled book packed with a lot of excitement   It is written for preschooler to year one children. Parents can also read this book to their children.  Children who are interested in animals and how the live, would like this book.  This book is suitable for the target audience and the rating I will give it is 7 out of 10.
