![]() The Fascinating History of your Lunch Jackie French Angus & Robertson 2001 pbk, $13.95 0207197504 | The Fascinating History of your Lunch is an excellent information book. If you like to cook, then you will like this book. Jackie French tells about food and how it was cooked a long time ago. She talks about the fascinating history of bananas and native Australian foods. She tells you recipes and heaps of cool things. Lots of people will enjoy reading it. For me, it was really great. I enjoyed reading about when she said that here grandmother would make her scones in the morning. The Fascinating History about Sugar was interesting because you may not think you are chomping away on sugar but lots of foods and drinks have sugar. This book is not the kind of book that you would pick up and not put down. It is not an adventure book. Jackie French tries to make it interesting by talking about her grandma and what happened long ago with food. It's more like a recipe book. Jackie French also wrote a book about How to Guzzle your Garden which is similar to this book. These books are both great. This book only appealed to me a bit because it is an information book. I give it 8/10. Alexandra, 11, Luddenham, NSW
