![]() Heroes : Australians at their best Allan Baillie Phoenix Education, 2001 90p., pbk. $16.45 | I read the book Heroes, Australians at their Best by Allan Baillie. It was published by Phoenix Education. It is a book about real men and women who often risked their own lives in order to save or protect others. There are true stories such as The Bomb Hunter, Wrestling a Croc, Nightmare at Sea, and many more heroic tales. This book is suitable for ages 8 and up and good for a read-aloud. I also think that all of the stories were well written, but there were too many advanced words that younger children might not be able to read. But overall, it is a great book, and I think that anyone who reads it will enjoy the stories in it. Reviewed by Stefanie , 12, ACT |
