This book is about a girl called Poppy.  Poppy wants to go on an adventure. 
On her adventure she has many jobs such as painting, caring for children and sailing ships. 
On her last job she worked in a palace.  She worked for a very pretty lady. 
This particular lady wasnt very nice.  She kept baby animals as displays. 
These animals were a giraffe, a lion and a monkey.  Every day Poppy took care of these animals, but the very pretty lady wouldnt let Poppy have the animals. One day Poppy was showing the animals a stone that looked like a jewel.  The very pretty lady thought it was a jewel and told Poppy she could have the animals if she could have the rock.  So Poppy got the animals and continued her adventure.

At the end of her adventure, Poppy ended up at where she started, her village, and became a storyteller.

I liked this book because I like all Poppys different adventures.  It is something I would like to be doing. 

I think it was a good book for my age group (8).  It was very enjoyable to read when I was going to bed especially. 

The illustrations in the book were mainly small and were on nearly every page.  They had no colour they were sort of sketches in what looked like lead pencil.  I thought they were very good illustrations.

Poppys Path was funny at some stages and exciting at others, and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys using their imagination and loves adventure stories (and animals too!)
