Guess the Baby Simon French and Donna Rawling ABC Books 2002 0733306144 | This childrens picture book is about when Sams baby brother Jake came to school for Show and Tell. After talking about what babies are like, the teacher, Mr Judd, asks the class to bring in one of their baby photos. But dont tell which baby is you he says. We have to guess! The children in the class all guess which photo belongs to who, but who is the last baby? This book makes you interested from the very beginning, and is hard to put down, because it is fun to try and guess which character the photo is of. The characters have real personality, for example Sam and Tess have good senses of humour. The illustrations are big and colourful and add a lot of character to the book. They really fit in with the story. This is a funny book. The language and print are appropriate for younger readers (say 5 and 6 year olds) to read by themselves, or as a bedtime story for adults and kids to enjoy together. It has a great ending. This book should be enjoyed by children and adults alike. |
