HarperCollins 2002 32p. hbk, $24.95 0 207 19 701 6(hbk) | Olga is unhappy; nobody wants to dance with her. Shes tried nagging & shouting but nothing was working. She had asked her Dad, Mum, Ellie the crocodile, and Joanna Jacana & finally Lilly the turtle but they were all to buy or were to tired. So what does she do? She dances by herself! This is a great picture book. Its not too hard & great for young readers (4-9 year olds). The illustrations are excellent, bright & colourful & the front cover pulls you in! Its original (imagine writing a book about dancing brolgas!) & exciting! Like all Rod Clement books its excellent!! 5/5 (five out of five). Lauren A.C.T, 10 |
| We just loved this book - it is very funny especially when she stood on Lilly the long-neck turtle and fell in the water. We liked the way the rhyme made the story sound like dance music. We think that Olga might have got someone to dance with her if she had asked them nicely and said 'Please!' Kindergarten, Hobart |
