This is a poetry book all about lullabies and some of them are in the Maori and

Pacific island languages. Little children would enjoy this book, especially if

they enjoy beautiful illustrations, and very attractive words. Many of the poems

are about the sea and it is always  night time because these are lullabies. I

loved Night countdown because it gave a picture of the stars and the moon and

the illustration was like the Emerald City. Another poem I liked was I wish by

Michelanne Forster. It has animal illustrations fish, dolphins, octopuses and

crabs and I love animals. The poems sound good when read aloud. It is a very

good book for five-year-olds and upwards. I would spend my pocket money on it

because it is a very beautiful book to share with the family.
