Pigtails the Pirate Random House Australia 2002 ISBN 1 74051 804 7
| I chose Pigtails the Pirate because I like pirate books and the front cover looked great and looked interesting. The blurb also was very interesting and told me enough about the book to make me want to read it even more. Pigtails the Pirate is all about a girl called Jess who is afraid that she will never see her father again. Jess decides to go and find her father and rescue him from the deep, dark sea and from Pigtails the Pirates clutching hands. Pigtails the Pirate is a great book aimed at primary school students, but could be read by older people as well. Pigtails the Pirate would be a great gift because it has a great text size and is also a read-along book, a read-aloud book and a read alone book. Pigtails the Pirate is also great because you feel like youre in the book with the characters all the time (while reading). Pigtails the Pirate has great pictures in it and a lot of detail. But the story is a bit hard to follow. Pigtails the Pirate has a bit of a laugh in it as well. Pigtails the Pirate gets you hooked from the very beginning and is even worth spending your pocket money on, and is also worth getting in trouble for reading at night in bed. The characters relationships and problems are from a fiction story and are definitely not very real. Vanessa, 10, Canberra |
