| I chose Ringle Tingle Tiger because I knew someone who knew the author so I was wanting to know if it was a very good book and the front cover also interested me. So that is why I chose Ringle Tingle Tiger. Ringle Tingle Tiger is all about a boy who is afraid of the shapes he sees in the dark. This boy tries to face his fear. The boy also wants to be both brave and strong. Ringle Tingle Tiger is a great book aimed at primary school students from ages 5 to 8 year olds, but could be read by younger students (with some help), but is a bit hard to understand. Ringle Tingle Tiger would be a great gift because it has a great text size and is also a read-along book, a read-aloud book and a read alone book. Ringle Tingle Tiger is also great because you feel like youre in the book with the characters all the time (while reading). Ringle Tingle Tiger gets you hooked from the very beginning and is even worth spending your pocket money on, and is also worth getting in trouble for reading at night in bed. The characters relationships and problems of the night are very real. If you want to understand Ringle Tingle Tiger better it is a good idea to get someone older than you to help you understand it. | The book of Ringle Tingle Tiger I think was made for lower primary school children. The book rhymes in each paragraph. If I were in lower primary I would think that the tiger is real because tons of children want to be a hero and tame tigers and stuff. At the end of the story it also shows children to face their fears and not scared. At the start I would have to say I was hooked because I love stories with poetry but Im not sure the writing matches the pictures in some spots. In this story there is a satisfying ending with a moral. Yes it is hard to put the book down but not impossible. | |
| I chose to review Ringle Tingle Tiger because I love the illustrations of David Miller. He is so clever with the way he creates pictures using cut paper and making collages. He must have a lot of patience! I love the pictures of the tiger but I also think he is very clever the way he has made the forest on the page where the boy wakes up! The story is great too, but it is a bit hard to understand in places the first time round, so I think I would like to read it with my mum. I like all the rhyming words though, like ankle-crankle alligator and crinkle-crunkle crocodile. It makes me think of what a crocodile might do to me. |
