Mum and Dad bring home Baby Susan. Everyone makes a big fuss of her because they are so excited. But the dog is not excited because he remembers when Susan's big sister came home.

Susan's big sister is really happy about having a little sister but as the days go on, she does not feel so excited. She feels left out and jealous. She even tried to do baby things to get attention but that just got her into trouble. She thought her parents didn't love her any more. She was feeling so angry that she even drew on Baby Susan's photo and wrote "Susan stinks" on it.

Nearly all the children in our classes really liked this book because it reminded us about our little baby brothers and sisters. We really liked the ending because it showed that Big Sister made the right choice.

We liked looking at the pictures to see the story, and we thought that all the photos helped us understand how Big Sister was feeling left out and why she drew on one of them. It was fun to see what the dog was doing, especially when he is trying to show that he is strong too.

Now we understand that now we are older we can do lots of things for ourselves and that our parents have to give the baby lots of attention because it is too little to do the things we can. And we know that even though they get busy or cross, our parents always love us.
