This book starts with a boy named Aaron being sent on a plane trip to stay with his father for a month on an Indonesian Island. This was his first trip overseas and he felt very grown up.

Havel very cleverly explains the different Balinese culture in this exciting adventure story. As well as an exciting holiday Aaron is in for the adventure of a lifetime. He has a lot to learn as he experiences life in a different country and makes a very special new friend, Husni.

Aaron also experiences his first cyclone, is caught diving for illegal shells and has the Coast Guard searching for him. Will he survive this holiday adventure?

I have enjoyed this book. It was the first book I have read with no illustrations but I enjoyed all 33 chapters. I give this book 8 out of 10. An adventure story particularly suited for boys.
