The book tells you very interesting facts about frogs what they eat, which ones are poisonous, how to tell the difference between a frog and a toad and other facts.

I think it would appeal to its intended audience very well. If you are interested in frogs like the author you would enjoy the book.

The illustrations have much character in them, and describe what the book is saying in a way where younger people can understand. If I was in a bookstore I think the cover would catch my eye which is a light, lime green background. The language in the book doesn't have many hard words. I think a seven year old could read it and would enjoy it. As well the language that Michael Tyler uses is very understanding and interesting. If I was to read one line then I would want to read the whole book. The style and size of the book is easy to read and is very groovy and funky and captures your eye. The layout of the book is very neatly presented and is very easy to follow along. I would say it is a read- along book and a read-alone book.

In my personal opinion I wouldn't mind receiving this as a present or giving it to someone. I wouldn't mind buying this book with my pocket money. I would recommend this book to other children - it has very interesting facts and you can learn things that you probably never knew. In some ways I have been changed learning about frogs and I am glad that I decided to read it. So in my conclusion I think that It's True Frogs Are Cannibals is a very exciting and thrilling book and I would probably recommend it for eight years and up. It is very interesting and tells you a lot of facts so enjoy the book. Hey, I enjoyed it so you are bound to like it too.

Last year I went to visit my cousins on the Sunshine Coast. One morning I was really hot so I went for a swim in the pool before anyone else was up. On the creepy-crawly hose was a really pretty frog and I watched hop all the way along it and back again.

Just then my cousin came outside and he started to yell "Cane toad! Cane toad!" My uncle came down with his golf clubs and belted it into the bush. All its guts spewed out. Then he told me the story of how cane toads are such a pest in Queensland and how they would kill my cousins' dogs if they bit one.

Now that I have read Frogs are Cannibals I have learned a lot more about cane toads as well as all sorts of other fascinating facts about frogs. I don't think I will mistake a toad for a frog again!

I really liked this book because it is just right for my age group to learn about real things. The information is easy to understand and there is not too much of it in one go. At the back there is a page about where I can go to find out more information and I know there are lots of books in my school library.

This is one of a series called It's True and I am going to try to read them all.
