I think Lily Quench is a great book as it hooks you from the very beginning. You want to find out what happens next. Throughout the story you can feel the atmosphere from the authors language used. The end is also very satisfying. All the questions are answered when the author finishes the story off. The book it is hard to put down, because you want to know what happens next. The book is about a girl who goes on an adventure where the Castle of Mote Ely awaits her and she learns a bit about life.

Natalie Prior helps you form a bond with the characters because she describes who they really are. All the relationships are realistic except for Lily who is related to a dragon. The author sticks to what she says in the beginning for example Lily is adventurous and she shows that in the book.

The book is designed to entertain you and to get you thinking at the same time.
One of the main issues is that everyone needs friends. I think the issues are appropriate because everyone needs to learn about these things for life ahead. Natalie hasn’t used many technical words so the writing is appropriate for the ages that will be reading it.

I would like to receive this book as a gift because it’s a book that grabs my attention and I am glad that I read it. I would recommend it to those whom like adventure stories and around the age of 8-10 years old.
