Mardi Mak wakes up to find her room frozen. Australia was heading towards the South Pole! As she watches her grandfather tie ropes to make a lasso, she suddenly gives birth to the answer of the country problem! Mardi tries and tries to get someone to listen, but no one will! What will she do? She decides to write a letter to the Prime minister, but it doesn’t get through, tries to phone, but the secretary won’t let her pass! What will she do? Lucky she has a wild imagination and in the end, she is the heroine and saviour to her mother country.

I would recommend it to children ages from 8 and up because I have read it and I’m 11. Also my sister who is 8 has read it. It is a fantastic and most unpredictable book.
