Trying to find an activity you enjoy isn’t always easy, especially for Carey and Winston. Carey is a natural at everything he tries even things he doesn’t enjoy. Winston tries very hard but struggles to be any better than average at anything.

When Carey is selected for the football team and Winston isn’t, Winston thinks it doesn’t seem fair that he didn’t get into the team even though he is footy-mad where as Carey would rather be on the Maths Olympiad team.

The big questions are how Carey and Winston can pursue their own interests successfully, be who they want to be and do what they love to do?

Most competent readers would be able to easily follow the story. The language in the book is simple but is still very interesting to read. The text in the book makes the reader be able to picture the scenes in the book. I enjoyed reading about the characters and am glad I decided to read it.

The illustrations included in the story help the reader picture the scenes. The characters are very credible and I can picture them easily when reading the book. I would rate the book six and a half out of ten only because there was no real complication included in the story line.
