This is a great book for kid’s aged from 9 to 15. It’s about a boy called Simon ‘Specky’ Magee, aged 13 years old who plays AFL for the Booyong High Lions. He meets up with his rival Screamer Johnson and has to deal with a possible season ending knee injury.

The book started slowly then it got so exciting that I read over 70 pages in 2 hours! It takes you on a life journey where you really believe this is happening. It’s a great story about friendship, challenges and of course AFL. I give it 8 out of 10.
