Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire was written by J. K. Rowling and was first published in Great Britian in 2000 by Bloomsbury. It is a fantasy book of 636 pages of excitement and is the fourth in the series about Harry Potter and his time at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. There are many new surprises awaiting Harry just around the corner.

The story starts off in the summer holidays when Harry is woken up suddenly by a shot of pain in his scar (this scar appeared from when his parents had been killed by Lord Voldemort). This is very strange for Harry because usually when his scar hurts is when Lord Voldemort is near but surely he could not be in Privet Drive with Harry while he is at his Aunt and Uncles house. Harry and his friends get in more trouble while they help people along the way. One of the characters will be gone and there will be a surprise visit by someone evil.

This story is fast paced and captures your attention from line one. It has been written in the first person and narrated by Harry. I enjoyed the book very much; it was well written and I felt like I was in the book with Harry and his friends. I give Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire a 10/10. I think that the plot of the book was very interesting. Every time I picked the book up I could not put it down. I recommend Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire to anybody who likes a good fantasy story.

JK Rowling is an excellent writer for young people. The Harry Potter series has four books so far with the fifth one set to come out soon. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is the fourth book and yet again the author has shown us she can write. JK Rowling makes her readers feel as if you are there next to Harry fighting the dragon.

Harry Potter is a young wizard who attends wizardry and witchery school called 'Hogwarts'. With his best friends Ron and Hermoine, adventures and danger always seem to follow Harry through the mysterious hallways and room of Hogwarts. Harry returns to Hogwarts for his fourth year and what a year it turns out to be. He is mysteriously entered into a tournament that turns out to be a life and death struggle. Harry also meets his mortal enemy Voldemort, a wicked wizard who is out to get him at all costs. Will Harry win the tournament and triumph over Voldemort? Read the book and be enthralled.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is a great book just like the previous three. The books are a 'must read' for those who are interested in adventure/fantasy novels. I can't wait for the next book to be published. I rate this book a 9/10.
