This is a story about ghosts, shades and shadows. Right from the start Cassandra admits she is a ghost but she is on earth and trying to do earthly things. She likes going to night clubs.

She and Nathan and Shine try to find the source of a wind that blows along the coast and into the city. Its not a real wind.  A night beast comes and Cassandra has to try and defeat it.

I didn't like this book, it was sort of boring. It didn't really have any real interesting bits in it. I would recommend this book for 12 or 13 year olds who like horror or ghost stories.

Shades 2: Night Beast by Robert Hood is about a ghost chick, who gets pulled into a terrifying adventure. The story is very fascinating and you can't put the book down when you've started reading. It's a book about a world very different from the one we share. It is confusing if you haven't read the first book in the Shades series. It is a horror book, but I believe it can be read by anyone.

Robert hood has written the book magnificently. Its like he's weaved magic into every word that you read. His adjectives are used very well. I found the book very enjoyable to read and am sure any reader of any age will like this wonderful book as much as me!
